中学作文教学是中学语文教学的重要组成部分。它是一种综合训练，既能从语言文章方面训练学生写字，用词造句，布局谋篇，润饰成文，发展学生的语言，提高学生的书面表达能力，又能从思想认识方面训练学生积极思维，加深对社会生活的理解、感受，培养健康高尚的审美情趣和社会主义思想品德，树立良好的文风，为今后的学习、工作和生活奠定良好的写作基础。作文教学与听话、说话、阅读教学相辅相成、相互促进。抓好作文教学，不仅可以培养中学生的写作能力，而且能促进学生阅读能力，听话能力和说话能力的提高，有利于全面完成语文教学任务。因此，我们必须十分重视作文教学。诚然，语文教学中的听、说、读、写教学都很重要，但这并不意味着都要花费相同的时间和精力去进行教学。根据学习语文的实际情况，学生听、说能力的发展往往先于读写能力，因为他们在入学之前，家庭和社会就已经为他们打下了一定的基础，尽管并不系统，但比起读写的基础，要厚实得多。在实际教学过程中，读写能力的形成比听说能力的形成更困难、更复杂一些，更需要花费时间和精力，这是一方面。另一方面，学生学习作文和学习阅读的难度也不同。一般的情况是，学习作文的难度大于学习阅读的难度。阅读毕竟是学习别人现成的知识和经验；而作文则相反，是用自己的语言去表达自己的认识和生活，当然难于前者。从学生学习的难度看，尤有必要加强作文教学。令人遗憾的是，当前的中学作文教学仍未得到应有的重视，其教学的改革举步艰难，效果不明显。前些年，社会人士对中学作文教学的批评可谓最激烈、最中肯。人们指出长期以来作文教学存在着写作内容泛化、情感虚化、形式僵化、语言刻板化等诸种弊端。如何改变这种现状，提高中学作文教学的效率和质量，已经成为我们语文教育工作者的一个重要研究课题。这里，笔者试从分析当前中学作文教学所存在的问题入手，谈点个人的见解。一、当前中学作文教学存在的主要问题从课程设计及学校教学管理方面而言，中学作文教学存在两个问题。首先是“以读带写，读写结合”严重失衡，导致作文处于附庸地位。我国语文教学指导思想中一直占主导地位的是“以读带写，读写结合”，而中学语文教材设计上却体现了“以阅读为本位”，作文训练附在阅读课后，语文课本只有阅读教材，没有系统的作文教材，其从属地位显现而见。正是由于“以阅读为本位”的设计思想，导致许多学校及语文教师对作文教学不够重视。教师在教学过程中，对课文力求讲深讲透，唯恐不全，而对写作，则注重向课文学习写作技巧，以传授写作知识为主，严重忽视了学生的写作实践。学校受应试教育的影响，都普遍认为在中考、高考中，作文拉不开分数，为功利计，花大力气抓作文是得不偿失。尤其到了毕业学年，师生投入到作文教与学的时间更是极为有限，虽说近两三年来的语文考试在作文与阅读的分数分布上作了近似等比的调整，长期以来的思想痼疾却没有得到很好的矫治，作文教学在当前的语文教学过程中仍然处于次要的地位。这主要表现在：语文课时虽多，但绝大部分为阅读所占有（多数学校每周只安排两个课时作文，有时还被阅读挤到课外），语文考试除了毕业、升学考试外，一般校内的测验也是以考阅读为主。教学评估，教学公开课、观摩课、鲜有以作文教学为主题的，其结果导致了作文教学时间少，作文训练量严重不足，连大纲规定的篇数，也常常不能完成。按照九年义务教育新课程标准的要求，从小学到中学，学生应该有30万字的写作量，每40分钟能完成不少于500字的习作，课内习作每学年不少于14次。其它练笔不少于1万字，其作文能力才能“过关”，而现行教材是每两周一次大作文，每学期6-7次，初高中6年下来，估计有作文80次，字数大约8万左右。如此，作文训练的“质”姑且不说，就以训练的“量”与“过关”要求相比，也是明显不足。其次是“文体中心”论的指导思想，导致学生作文形成定势。长期以来，我国中学作文教学奉行“文体中心”论。“文体中心论”的特点就是以教会学生学会“记叙文、议论文、说明文、一般应用文”为终极目标。这种作文教学有它自身的优点，但也存在不少缺陷。这是因为它仅局限在文体训练的范围内，偏重写作技能的培养，忽视了学生智力和创新能力的发展，不可能从根本上提高写作能力和文章的质量，却反而使作文教学走向机械化、模式化的道路，并造成学生作文的思维定势。在学生的习作、尤其是中考考场作文中，我们不难发现大多数的作文在立意、选材、结构、语言表达等方面如出一辙，缺少创意，缺少扑面而来的新鲜感。比如在立意方面，对于一个写作对象，许多学生都习惯于拿老眼光去观察，从老角度去表达，以致主题落入窠臼，立意简单。写游记，便立即与赞美祖国，热爱祖国挂钩；写好人好事，就会得出社会主义好，一方有难八方支援的感慨；写学习、训练，就是为国争光或做事要勤奋有毅力等等，千篇一律，众口一词。在选材、结构和语言表达等方面也是如此。从老师方面分析，也有问题。一是把教完课文作为硬任务，把作文教学当作软任务。在语文教学过程中，由于学校的公开课、评估课、研讨课少有以作文教学为主题的，加上学校教学检查时，往往注意检查教师的阅读课教案，很少检查教师的作文课教案，因而造成教师把教完课文作为硬任务，把作文训练作为软任务，也就是说，对课文，认真去教完教好，因为它与考试有极重要的关系，而对作文多教几次，少教几次都无妨。不少教师不把作文课当作“课”来教，上课时连教案都没有。一个单元的课文讲完了，按照写作训练的内容，布置一个文题，略作指导，提几点要求，就让学生去写。把作文当成作业或任务去布置。当然，这和目前的应试教育有着必然的联系，但一味地为考试而写作，势必使学生失去对写作的热情；二是教师的作文能力普遍不高，教学效率低下。世界上所有的艺术、技术的教育与传授，都是能者、会者教不能者、不会者。但是当前的作文教学并非都如此。为数不少的语文教师其实自己本来就不大会写作，却一本正经地教学生写作文。这其中的原因有两个：教师有学历、无能力；教师专业不配套，临时将其它专业的教师改作语文教师。这样问题就出来了，教师不知写作的门径，更没有什么写作实践和经验，让他们去教学生作文，效果就可想而知了。现实的情况告诉我们，这已经成为严重阻碍中学作文教学质量提高的“瓶颈”；三是重视写作方法的教学，轻视文章的内涵。当前中学的作文教学，说得白一点就是教师往往只注重写作方法的教学。“把作文看作是一种技巧而不是一种能力”。在难得的几堂写作指导课上，教师经常照本宣科、讲作文的技法，从如何开头、如何过渡、如何呼应、如何交代、如何照应、如何结尾等方面进行指导。在讲到如何开头的方法时，又分出所谓的“悬念式”“开门见山式”“回忆式”等等。结尾的方法又分为“总结式”“展望式”“号召式”“水到渠成式”等等。这样，训练得多了，学生就逐渐产生一种共同的印象：只有把写作方法学好，把写作技巧提高，才能写出好作文来。于是，许多学生到书店里专拣“作文技法”之类的书买，以为买到了这类书，就得到了写好作文的秘诀，看了这类书，就能写出优秀作文来。其实，就写作来说，技巧应该说是重要的，但技巧毕竟属于形式，它必须为内容服务，没有充实的内容，光在技巧、文章作法上动脑筋，也是写不出好文章的；四是教师布置作文只求数量，不求质量，忽视了它们的有机统一。很多教师认为勤能补拙,便给学生布置了从大作文到小作文,从日记、周记到课堂练习等一大堆写作任务，却对已完成的作文不加评讲，只简单的打上个印象分。对于成绩好的，字迹清楚的同学，总认为他们的文章也一定不会差，而对于顽皮的，总会说他们缺乏思考，写作不踏实。这样忽视学生的创作成果，学生便永远不知道自己哪方面不足，作文水平当然也难以提高。从学生方面看，问题也不少。第一是脱离生活，惧怕作文。由于应试教育在我国依然成风，学生在升学的压力下，成天游弋于试题、答案的汪洋大海，生活范围仅限于寝室、教室、厕所和食堂，至于时下提得最响的“减负”也只能是说说罢了。电视不能看，报纸无法阅读，五彩生活无法领略，文娱活动几乎为零。有时连每周仅有的一、二节体育课也要奉献给数、理、化、英。升学的压力，造成他们差不多是大门不出二门不迈，两耳不闻窗外事，一心只做训练题。在这种近乎封闭的环境里，学生缺少社会阅历，缺乏对生活深刻的认知与感悟，毫无生活积累可言，仅靠教师作文课上传授的几条“秘技”，写作时怎能不抓耳挠腮无病呻吟？！这也难怪他们惧怕作文。即使强迫他们写出来或者杜撰出来了，也是面目陈旧，内容空泛。“巧妇也难为无米之炊”，我们又何以对中学生作更高要求？第二是思维定式，写法模式化。应试教育造成的氛围屡屡得不到改善，师生双方都为分数奔忙，分数是师生的命根。应试使学生的思想一直处于临战状态。他们所需要的是自己的文章被老师肯定。于是，他们便从老师所希望的角度出发，写作时就按照教师所倡导和推崇的、或各级各类考试中常见的、也是各种写作指导书籍中所津津乐道的某种写作模式去布局谋篇、遣辞造句，其结果要么生搬硬套、无所用心，要么东拼西凑、移花接木，久而久之，写作对他们来讲成了数理化似的可以套用的公式，是一种填字任务。长期养成的思维定式，造成了大家写出来的文章都是同一模式。第三是内容虚假，意义拔高。中学生是一群并未真正接触社会的群体，他们所熟悉的不过是家庭、学校，对丰富多彩的社会生活接触极少。有限的接触，大大阻碍了他们写作素材的获得。为了考试就不得不编造，写出来的作文内容干巴巴的，表达的往往是“虚情假意”。所以，他们的作文并不能打动人，缺乏心理的真实表露，尽是些“伟大”的空话，意义拔高，内容牵强。如此等等。第四是把写作当任务，修改缺动力。沉重的课业压力，使大多数学生把写作当成是任务，完成就好，而对完成的作文也不进行修改，不注意语句是否通顺，用词是否恰当，有的甚至连自己也不清楚文章所表达的中心。如此作文，能收到多少成效？二、中学作文教学的改革思路与对策中学生的写作能力是中学生语文素养的综合体现；是素质教育要求中学生必须具备的最基础的能力。然而，中学作文教学的现状颇令人担忧，面对上述存在的问题，我们该如何改进呢？随着新课程的实验与实施的启动，各地也纷纷对中学作文教学的改革进行了一些有益的探索。笔者不揣浅陋，也就教学观念、教师的教学、学生的学习等三方面的主要问题谈些看法。彻底改变传统观念，单独开设作文课。当今的信息时代对写作提出了更新的要求。写作在人们的工作、学习、生活中占据着越来越重要的地位。著名作家余秋雨先生说，写作是文化素质中的重要素质，是素质中的素质，提高人的素质是现代写作学的根本任务。知识经济时代已经到来，科技发展突飞猛进，信息高度发展，创造发明层出不穷，未来的人才不会“写”将会被社会淘汰。为了提高学生的写作能力，适应未来发展，彻底改变作文教学长期不受重视的状况已是刻不容缓。在此，笔者向教育部门呼吁，要迅速组织力量调查研究，在新的理论指导下构建以学生为主体，以学生发展为中心，以表情达意、能力培养为目标的语文教学新体系。应编写有专门的作文教材，单独开设作文课（至少在高中阶段应如此）；在教学时间安排上，作文与阅读至少应平分秋色。此外，必须要选择综合素质高、写作能力强的教师专门任教作文课，对于条件不允许的学校，各教育部门可以采取集中培训的方法，如各地方教育局可以邀请一些具有较强作文能力的教师或作家来对教师们进行定期培训，学校自身也可以单独进行。总之，要想方设法从理论到实践，全面提高教师在这方面的能力。不可否认，无数的中学语文教师为了革新作文教学倾注了满腔热情和心血，也的确取得一些可喜进步和收获。但他们的血汗却与成果严重失衡。主要原因是作文教改实质只停留在感性经验阶段，缺乏先进写作理论的润泽与光照，先天营养不良。因此，教师们必须要接受先进而系统的写作理论教育，学习当代一些优秀的教育哲学和教育方法。此外，我们提倡教师下水作文或半下水作文，学生写什么，自己先写，体验体验。对诸如命题合不合适，材料作文提供的材料有无模糊之处，会不会发生歧义；选择材料范围如何，学生的知识背景，生活经验能否适应；材料剪裁关键何在，有否需要割爱之处；如何构思，怎么安排就会老生常谈，毫无新意，怎样安排就能匠心独到等问题，自己心中有底，指导学生作文时就能灵活主动，点拨得力。实践证明，教师的下水作文确能引起学生的兴趣，激发起学生的写作热情。破除套路作文思维模式，培养学生的创新能力。众所周知，作文不单是一种写作技巧的传授，的则是一种生命状态的燃烧与释放，或者说是一种写作个体心路历程的自我展示。为此，作文教学必须彻底破除一切违背写作规律、阻碍个性展示的套路模式，大力提倡自主作文，以激发其解放自我，展示个性，开发自己的创新潜能。如何培养学生的创新能力呢我认为应注意如下几点：首先，是教师本身要更新教学观念,敢于创新，不要事事因循守旧。只有这样，他所培养的学生才有创新精神；其次，是要培养学生的想象和联想能力。我们知道作文离不开联想和想象，就像鸟儿离不开双翼一样。写作时，根据立意的需要，通过联想和想象，可以跨越时空的阻隔，可以摆脱类别的界限，把事物缩小或放大，把事件缩短或延长，把相同、相近或相反的东西相联合相结合，用来反映生活，表达思想，突出中心。已有的生活经历和知识是想象的“能源”，开发能源，必须唤起记忆。想象和创新基于现实的存在和渴求，要想象的翅膀，必须做到三步想：一是层层扩展地想，二是沿着一条主线想，三是入情入境地想。再次，必须使学生养成爱思、多思、善思、深思的习惯，掌握纵向思维、横向思维、发散性思维、形象思维、逻辑思维等方法。例如作文过程的审题问题，学生常因审不清题意而步入歧途，一步差错，全盘皆输。作文题《我心中的歌》，题眼是“心中”，心中之歌是无声的，它珍藏在主人的心里，构成了主人生命的旋律，所以写出来的一定是一段埋藏在心中的具有感人情怀的事情。有同学一看到“歌”字，脑中立刻浮现出平日唱歌的情景，于是立刻奋笔疾书，殊不知题目中所指的心中的歌，非平日放声歌唱的歌，此“歌”非彼“歌”。方向定错了，对象定错了，写得再妙笔生辉，也是文不对题。乍看起来是理解错误，实际上是思维的定向、思维的严密性出了问题。因为不认真思考，所以“理解错误”。只有在积极思维的基础上审清题意，下笔就不会走线了。学生只有养成了良好的思维习惯，他们的思维能力才会在不断的实践中逐渐发展起来。建立一定的作文激励机制。在以往的作文教学中，许多老师认为，给优秀作文评以高分，并在评讲课上宣读，即是对学生的激励手段了。其实这是一种片面的认识。这种单一化的激励方式不利于激发全体学生的写作积极性。许多学校结合《课程标准》的要求，尝试以多种方式来激发学生的作文兴趣，从而达到了进一步巩固、提高其写作水平的目的。首先是从改变教师以阅读为本位的观念入手，把作文教学列入教学评估，教学公开课、观摩课的范畴，以激发教师改革作文教学的积极性。二是每学期定期进行作文比赛一两次（教师命题或自由命题皆可），使学生有较大的获奖面，让他们尝到成功的喜悦。三是由教师推荐、学友推荐和学生自荐结合的方式，向全国有影响的作文教学刊物（如《中学生作文》《中学生读写》等）推荐学生佳作。四是是开辟“优秀作文展示园地”，用以展示学生的佳作或有特色的习作。因其是学生自己的作品展示，大家争先观看，其启发、促进作用不言而喻。教师要尊重学生的独立见解，善于激发学生表现的欲望。学生的主动意识和进取精神经常表现在发表与众不同的见解上，有时这些见解新颖，应该给予肯定，有时一些见解有偏颇，也应该给予引导，切勿横加指责。要尊重学生的创见，鼓励标新立异。着力营造作文创新的宽松环境，不要给学生设下太多的要求。例如：写作单元的短文《观察人物特点，写作人物个性》，列举阿累写鲁迅例，着重介绍通过写鲁迅的外形和语言，显示鲁迅刚毅而又慈祥的性格特征。学生中有人提出不同意见：最能显示人物个性特征的，不是静态的外貌描写，而是动态的人物动作和语言。要真正看准人物的个性特征，还必须在动态的环境中，特别在有矛盾和冲突的时候。教师充分肯定了这一见解，并要求学生寻找典型事例论证这一正确的观点。学生课后广泛阅读写人的作品，获取了大量感性素材、典型事例。类似这样的典型例子还有很多。学生为自己的见解得到老师和同学的肯定而十分高兴，也更加充满自信，写作的热情倍增。每一个学生都有表现自己见解与才能的欲望。这正是学生对文章写作、口语交际产生强烈兴趣、愿意付出大量劳动的内在动力。我们要十分珍视并努力满足学生这一可贵的心理，让学生在表现自我的历程中发展自我、提高自我、完善自我。有个教师在进行“观看图画编织故事”的作文教学时，就充分激发了学生的表现的欲望。画面表现的是：当初两只鸟同时从鸟窝中飞出，只因一鸟投奔树林，一鸟奔向鸟笼，后来见面时竟大不相同。该教师积极引导学生充分想象投奔树林的鸟儿遇到的种种磨难。于是，有同学想到，各类天敌的侵犯；有同学想到，狂风暴雨的袭击；有同学想到，严冬酶暑的煎熬；有同学想到，饥饿病痛的折磨。进而教师又启发学生想像奔向鸟笼的鸟儿享受的种种厚遇。于是，学生们又分别想到，主人的宠爱、佳肴的享用，栖所的高雅，旷日的悠闲。然后再让学生想像两鸟儿见面后的惊诧：投奔树林的鸟儿羽毛丰满，身躯健壮；投奔鸟笼的鸟儿羽毛稀疏，身材瘦小。在此基础上，引导学生联想到人的发展成长。其寓意不言而喻。这样，全班大部分同学表现的欲望得到了满足，他们兴致盎然，浮想联翩，大大激发了创造的热情，也大大培育了创造的才能。学生要深入生活，积累写作素材。写作要有材料，如果没有材料，我们的头脑这个“加工厂”，就只能停工待料，会有“江郎才尽”的感觉，写不出东西，面对中考、高考，我们的考生有的面对题目能文思泉涌，奔腾而出，大量的材料从脑记忆的细胞中招之即来。用之所用，去之所去，挥笔成文，有的面对题目，却是搜索枯肠，苦思冥想，难已成文，其成败的原因是脑中存储材料的多寡造成。要想头脑这个“加工厂”不会停工待料，写出好的作文，学生首先要热爱生活、深入生活、观察生活。生活是创作的唯一源泉。作为学生只有深入生活、观察生活，才能储备写作素材，建立起自己的写作“资料库”。“家事、国事、天下事、事事关心”，学生只有走出学校小课堂，走进社会大课堂，把小课堂与大课堂结合起来，对国家大事，诸如体制改革、国际风云等多加留意，对身边的人和事，诸如家庭生活、邻里关系、亲朋交往等多加关心，从中感受到社会政治、文化动态，从中领略自然之美，培养爱国之情，带着问题，有针对性地观察生活，分析五光十色的生活现象，探究事物的实质，明辨是非曲直，才能写出好文章。老师要指导学生多读书。写作基于阅读，阅读是写作的前提，写作是阅读的深入，作文教学应与阅读教学密切结合。对于阅读《语文课程标准》明确要求：“要培养学生广泛的阅读兴趣，扩大阅读面，增加阅读量”、“九年课外阅读总量应达400万字以上”。“读书破万卷，下笔如有神”就是指阅读在一定程度上对写作的作用。阅读就像是一个人在进食，而写作就是将这些营养更好的利用。当然，阅读要得法。教师必须教学生学会阅读。一是要学会博览与精读。博览，就是多看。我们要像蜜蜂采花一样，广泛涉猎。不仅要读文学名著，而且要读政治、经济、天文、历史、地理等多方面的书；精读，就是在读书时细细揣摩，反复研究，务求明白透彻，了然于心。正像宋代朱熹在《读书之要》中所说：“大抵读书，须先熟读，使其言皆若出于吾之口；继以精思，使期意皆若出吾之心，然后可以省得尔。”这里，“读”到“思”，“思”到“省”有一个质的飞跃。“蜂采花，所酿者蜜也，非花也；蚕食桑，所吐者丝也，非桑也”，切忌使自己成为一个“书袋子”。二是要懂得积累。“不积小流，无以成江海”，要想获得丰富的写作素材，学到写作的技能技巧，只有坚持不懈地积累才能奏效。积累的最佳方法就是勤记勤写。所谓勤写，就是勤于手抄笔录，把阅读中遇到的有用知识、材料摘录下来。“好记性不如烂笔头”，讲的就是这个道理。所谓勤写，就是随时写出自己的感受，即读书笔记。内容上应不拘一格，可搜集名言锦句，可采撷奇闻轶事，可积累英雄事迹，可采集科技信息，可借鉴技能技法。“书到用时方恨少”，读的多了，积累的多了，方能以“多”补“少”。三要善于借鉴。所谓借鉴，这里有两层含义：第一层意义是探讨别人文章的成功之处，如选材、立意、构思、行文、语言等等，进而学习运用别人的精妙技巧，从而提高自己的写作水平。另一层含义是要善于拿别人的文章来加以改造为我所用，即借用别人的选材、构思或其他方法，来写作自己的相似立意的文章。某人的文章手法高超，我借其手法行我之文，某文选材典型精当，我借其材为我所用；某文开头或结尾别具一格，我学而时用之，即为我之技能；某文立意新颖深刻，我借之以提高认识水平和思辨能力。……这些都是借鉴。如果我们的学生能在多读的基础上，再学会借鉴，那么作文水平就一定会提高。要鼓励学生敢于讲真话，诉真情真的反面是假，而说假话、编瞎话是作文之大忌。记得1998年高考作文让考生围绕“坚韧”做文章，许多考生说了瞎话，为了表现自己的“坚韧”，不惜诅咒自己的父母，有的写得癌症，有的写出车祸，有的写离婚，好像1998年一下子成了灾难年。这样的作文就“大失真”，它表明了同学缺乏生活体验，缺乏真情实感。要改变这种状况，作为学生，要力求做到以下两点。一是要敢于说真话。只有敢说真话，才能使读者感到真诚可信，写出的话才有说服力。巴金老人倡导的“讲真话，把心交给读者”，应当作为我们写文章的基本原则。叙事，应是真事；绘景，应是真景；说理，应是真理；抒情，就是真情。即使是文学作品，所写的人和事也要符合生活的常规，也应是对真实生活的高度概括和集中表现。二是要敢于诉真情，“真情”才能使人感动，引起共鸣，感情的倾诉不要有范围的限制；感情的倾诉要适当节制。文贵有情，情贵真挚，有情不真，索然寡味；真而不深味同嚼蜡。对亲人有亲切之情，对敌人有痛恨之情，对美好的事物有爱慕之情，对丑陋的事物有厌恶之情。作文时，应把自己的真情实感驱遣于笔端，流淌于文章的躯体内。你可直抒胸臆，把自己的情感用精炼的语言宣泄出来，从而产生摄人心神、欲罢不能的艺术效应；你可寓情于景，绘景传情，让读者通过你写的景物感悟你的感情；你可融情于事，把自己的真实感情融进所叙的事件中。只有把那些留在你记忆深处的甚至是刻骨铭心的事写出来，把足以催人泪下的真情抒发出来，才能生动感人，才能引起读者的共鸣。朱自清写他父亲越过高台为他买橘子的“背影”，之所以催人泪下，是因为作者首先被伟大的父爱深深打动了。只有这样，才能达到《语文课程标准》所提倡的：“要求学生说真话、实话、心里话，不说假话、空话、套话”的要求。以上是笔者对当前中学作文教学问题的粗浅看法，仅作引玉之砖，希望能引出广大语文教学工作者的真知灼见。希望帮助到你了，谢谢……
